Metals
Randomness kills.
K>Na>Ca>Mg>Zn>Fe>Pb>Cu>Ag
Potassium reacts explosively in cold water. Enough heat is produced to cause the hydrogen gas to burn in a lilac flame.
Sodium reacts violently in cold water. Hydrogen gas produced may catch fire.
Calcium reacts readily in cold water. Calcium hydroxide and hydrogen is formed.
Magnesium reacts slowly in cold water. A test tube filled with hydrogen can only be gathered after a few days.
Zinc,Lead,Copper,Silver do not react in cold water. God knows why.
Hot Magnesium reacts violently in steam to produce magnesium oxide(white powder) and hydrogen. A white bright glow is produced during the reaction.
Hot Zinc burns in steam to produce zinc oxide and hydrogen. Zinc oxide is yellow when hot and white when cold.
Hot Iron reacts slowly in steam to form tri-iron tetroxide. The reaction can be reversed easily and thus iron has to be heated constantly.
*Picture has been removed on request of mr.bai, your 1 day too slow, lol*
